摘要: The pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders is complex and cannot be easily assessed by laboratory studies. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) a magnetic resonance technique increasingly used for noninvasive quantitative evaluation abnormalities the cerebral white matter because it provides exquisite details on tissue microstructures also can perform sophisticated computer-based analyses. We review basic principles DTI; methods diffusion analysis; recent DTI findings in major diseases, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depressive anxiety disorder; factors to keep mind when interpreting results analysis. recommend frequent use routine clinical protocol assess patients with disorders.
