摘要: The aim of this study was to determine the seasonal activity patterns and asynchrony between different antler stages in male axis deer from Mediterranean island Rab Croatia using camera traps. Nine cameras with an infrared motion detection system were used track animal over a 12-month period, 24 h per day. Stags divided into two categories development: regeneration stage hard stage. frequency each category photographs allowed us investigate patterns. To describe pattern category, we fitted segmented linear regression predicted that ratio monthly stags would interchange regularly during research period. Over 36 862 analysed. A significant difference found (p < 0.01), consistently greater presence hard-antlered stags. highest both winter season, lowest spring. clearly distinguished three break points April, June December stage, among months for slope. On other hand, no Therefore, expected proportional number throughout year did not occur. This revealed population showed unique pattern, where may act as possible driver regulating stag movements.
