摘要: Recent snow avalanche hazard mapping tools and procedures offer methods to improve the accuracy reliability of risk localization. The validation numerical mass movement models mainly depends on recorded historical data sets such as outlines release volumes. These are often unavailable or an unknown accuracy. Avalanche characteristics area, flow height path, runout distance total amount released essential parameters for proper calibration evaluation simulation tools. Incorrectly calibrated can influence decision-making which directly affects human safety. acquisition high quality regarding observed events is hindered by permanently present in terrain. This paper describes a promising method based photogrammetry computer vision also introduces AVALMAPPER software that allows using single terrestrial photograph with exterior interior orientation accurately map outlines. We evaluate this comparing its results GPS measurements made field. discuss optimization measurement efficiency, costs
