摘要: The paper presents a study of pilot plant treating light greywater for seven flats. combines biological treatment (RBC) with physicochemical (sand filtration and disinfection). produced effluent excellent quality, meeting the urban reuse quality regulations, was very efficient in TSS turbidity BOD removal: 82%, 98% 96%, respectively. COD removal somewhat lower (70–75%) indicating that may contain slowly-biodegradable organics. RBC (attached growth system) able to retain most solids as result bioflocculation; further it proven have stable reliable performance. Faecal coliforms heterotrophic reductions were high (100% 99.99%, respectively) producing also met drinking water standards. combination low organic matter, nutrients microbial indicators reduces regrowth fouling potentials system, thus ensuring safe treated toilet flushing.
