In Situ Sampling of Relative Dust Devil Particle Loads and Their Vertical Grain Size Distributions

摘要: Abstract During a field campaign in the Sahara Desert southern Morocco, spring 2012, we sampled vertical grain size distribution of two active dust devils that exhibited different dimensions and intensities. With these situ samples grains vortices, it was possible to derive detailed distributions measurements lifted relative particle load. Measurements show majority all particles were only within first meter (∼46.5% ∼61% particles; ∼76.5 wt % ∼89 wt load).
