摘要: Radiant enclosures used in industrial processes have traditionally been designed by trial-and-error, a technique that usually demands considerable time to find solution of limited quality. As an alternative, designers recently adopted optimization and inverse methodologies solve design problems involving radiative transfer; the methodology solves problem implicitly transforming it into multivariable minimization problem, while explicitly using regularization. This paper presents details both methodologies, demonstrates them solving for optimal heater settings industrially relevant radiant enclosure problem.
