摘要: In heavy ion reactions, neutron production at forward angles is observed to occur with a Gaussian shape that centered near the beam energy and extends energies well above of beam. This paper presents an abrasion-ablation model for making quantitative predictions spectrum. To describe neutrons produced from abrasion step reaction where projectile target overlap, we use Glauber include effects final-state interactions. We then prefragment mass distribution statistical evaporation estimate spectrum resulting ablation. Measurements Ne Nb beams are compared calculations, good agreement found.
