摘要: Objective To evaluate how voiding function and quality of life (QoL) were affected by transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy with respect to prostatic size determine whether there is a size-bothersomeness relationship. Methods Ninety-two patients who candidates for included. Ten-core biopsies taken, followed up 7 days. The international symptom score, QoL, maximum urine flow rate (Q-max) average rate, postvoid residual urine, volume (Vp) the recorded at baseline on postbiopsy day 7. On receiver operating characteristics curve analysis, Vp 38.8 mL was found be best cutoff point deterioration in QoL after biopsy. Then, divided into 2 groups according Vp, as  Results One patient group 1 5 developed acute urinary retention biopsy, but difference not significant ( P >.05). Only Q-max  = .035, respectively), .002), Q-max, .006) significantly changed compared baseline. Conclusion Patients >38.8 more prone difficulty after biopsy. They should informed about likelihood these complications.
