摘要: The k-nearest-neighbor decision rule is known to provide a useful nonparametric procedure for pattern classification. This applied here vowel recognition problem and the effect of number (k) nearest neighbors, size trained set type distance measure on performance studied. It shown that remains approximately constant all values k. initially improves with training then converges an asymptotic value. Selection better leads significant improvement in performance.
