摘要: We report a high-resolution terahertz spectroscopic study of quantum spin dynamics in the antiferromagnetic Heisenberg-Ising spin-chain compound ${\mathrm{BaCo}}_{2}{\mathrm{V}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{8}$ as function temperature and longitudinal magnetic field. Confined spinon excitations are observed an phase below ${T}_{N}\ensuremath{\simeq}5.5\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{K}$. In field-induced gapless above ${B}_{c}=3.8\text{ }\mathrm{T}$, we identify many-body string well low-energy fractional psinon or antipsinon by comparing to Bethe ansatz calculations. vicinity ${B}_{c}$, high-energy found have dominant contribution compared with excitations.
