摘要: This article reports on productive vocabulary development by instructed British learners of French over a five-year period (from age 13 to 18). Lexical diversity was investigated through semi-guided oral picture-based task. Results show that the students' lexical (as measured D) did significantly improve throughout five years showing little sign slower periods. Overall more noun types were observed than verb in composition lexicon study but with consistent decrease its proportion after Year 10. Further results using Limiting Relative Diversity measure indicate vary their use nouns much larger extent verbs. The discussion focuses noun-bias hypothesis and different elicitation tasks.
