摘要: Abstract The aim of this work was to gain information on the possible relationship between basal glycemia in toad and B-cell threshold for glucose-induced insulin release. Hence, pieces pancreas from Bufo arenarum were incubated with 2 20 mM glucose or preincubated plus hexokinase glucokinase inhibitors (50 2-deoxyglucose mannoheptulose, respectively) followed by an incubation different concentrations. maximal rate release occurred at 8 glucose, while 50% (Ks50) observed 7 glucose. Regardless concentration employed, released less than corresponding controls. On other hand, mannoheptulose significantly inhibited high concentrations, having no effect low blocking these two is first indirect evidence existence hexokinase/glucokinase enzymic system pancreas. Since activity ratio determines sensitivity secretory mechanism, it concluded that a higher enzymes B cells could explain particular characteristics animal, which turn may its blood concentration.
