摘要: An inexpensive method for making lithium transition metal olivine particles that have high specific capacities is disclosed. The includes the steps of: a) combining precursor materials including at least one source of ions, HxP04 ions where x 0-2 and carbonate, hydrogen formate and/or acetate in a mixture water liquid cosolvent which miscible with relative proportions are present has boiling temperature 130°C; wherein mole ratio to from 0.9:1 1.2:1, phosphate carbonic acid, formic acid or acetic formed, b) heating resulting up 120°C selectively remove carbon-containing decomposition products thereof reaction mixture, optionally some all produce particles, then c) separating cosolvent.
