摘要: Currently available methods for analyzing haloacetic acids (HAAs) and ketoacids in water generally require the use of diazomethane sample derivatization. This article proposes based on a less toxic, alternative methylated agent. The reagent both cases is acidic methanol. Side-by-side comparison proposed method HAA analysis 6251B showed no significant difference. These two were also found to give similar detection limits spike recoveries. new O-(2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzyl)-hydroxylarnine (PFBHA)-acidic methanol derivatization analytical ketoacids-glyoxylic acid pyruvic acid-was be comparable using PFBHA-diazomethane. Additional study needed improve methylation efficiency ketomalonic acid. Work further test with monochloroacetic brominated acids.
