Podcast Pinpointer: A Multimedia Semantic Web Application

摘要: In late 2004, a new method of publishing multimedia broadcasts on the Internet became popular called 'Podcasting'. Podcasting incorporates existing feed description formats, namely RSS 2.0 (Really Simple Syndication), to deliver various enclosed files which allows users subscribe feeds, receiving updates periodically. Originally intended for self-publishing and syndication audio files, usage video has become quite popular. Indeed, thousands Podcast feeds are now available, reaching wide range listeners viewers. The rapid development such technology proves demand structured formats describing data, facilitating location retrieval desirable media consumers. This paper proposes specification allow be integrated into Semantic Web framework. We thus able combine data from with instance other sources also reuse technologies as repositories user interface applications.
