摘要: 62 species belonging to 43 genera representing five families of the order Lepidoptera were recorded from Sunabeda Wildlife Sanctuary, Orissa. Family Nymphalidae was dominant with 20 having 28 followed by Papilionidae (11), Pieridae (9), Lycaenidae (9) and Hesperiidae, represented species. Analysis encounter rates revealed fact that common Indian crow, tiger, grass yellow, rose, pea blue, tawny coster, evening brown widespread species, where 18 listed as very common, 31 13 rare inside sanctuary. During study period, three butterflies including Banded tree brown, Fluffy tit Common observed sanctuary first time.
