摘要: We evaluated the evolution of chronic medical therapy in patients admitted for carotid endarterectomy (CEA) over a 13-year period and to analyze difference treatment between symptomatic asymptomatic patients. A retrospective study was conducted on treated 2002 2015. The use antiplatelets (acetylsalicylic acid [ASA], ticlopidine, clopidogrel), oral anticoagulant (OAT), statins antihypertensives (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors [ACE-I]/angiotensin receptor blockers [ARBs], β-blockers [BB]) administration evaluated. During period, 852 CEAs were performed 681 (79.9%) Prescription rate increased significantly ASA (+29.2%), clopidogrel (+10.3%), (+60.8%), ACE-I/ARBs (+31.1%), BB (+19.3%; all Ptrend < .05). No significant modification observed ticlopidine OAT (ticlopidine abandoned recent years, but this not due small numbers). lower medication intake recorded when compared with patients, except clopidogrel. Our analysis suggests that has changed years stenosis. Although is big step toward best therapy, preoperative drug remains suboptimal
