摘要: . BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE : For patients with advanced glaucoma, care must be taken in the management of cataract to prevent loss long-term intraocular pressure (IOP) control. The authors evaluated effect extracapsular extraction (ECCE) posterior chamber lens (PC IOL) implantation via inferotemporal limbal approach on function an established glaucoma filtering bleb. PATIENTS METHODS Twenty-three eyes 21 a minimum 48 months follow-up (range 97 months) were retrospectively evaluated. IOP, bleb status, visual field, and acuity compared before after operation. RESULTS Average IOP increased from 8.7 mm Hg preoperatively 12.2 at last follow-up. Six blebs (26.1%) decreased size, 11 (47.8%) did not change, 4 (17.4%) 2 (8.7%) lost required refiltration. At follow-up, 23 had less than 20 show progression damage by optic disc or field evaluation. resumption medical therapy refiltration for adequate CONCLUSION ECCE PC IOL presence is effective glaucomatous eye cataract.
