Corrosion protection of carbon steel using polyaniline composite with inorganic pigments

摘要: Two inorganic pigments (TiO2 and SiO2) were used to prepare composites with polyaniline (PANI) by situ polymerization method. PANI SiO2and TiO2 characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy X-ray diffraction. The morphology of the synthesized (PANI, PANI-SiO2 PANI-TiO2) was examined scanning electron microscopy. Samples then as through blending them acrylic paint applied on surface carbon steel panels. Corrosion evaluated for coating panels full immersion test up standard ASTMG 31. Mass loss calculated after they have been exposed in acidic media. A digital camera also monitoring corrosion visually specimens. results revealed that pigmented composite more efficient protection compared other pigments.
