摘要: Introduction: diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic non-communicabledisease and imposes on individuals major changes in their dailylives. To keep the disease under control, it necessary thatindividuals change eating habits integrate different,healthy diet totheir daily activities.n. Adherence to becomes akey issue for quality of life successful treatment. Objective:To understand compliance with dietary recommendations bypatients type 2 enrolled Hiperdia programat Primary Health Unit Pelotas-RS, Brazil. Methodology: Datawas collected through semi-structured interviews 16 people,analyzed interpreted using process categorizing unitsof meaning, identifying significant issues withdietary recommendations. Results: non-compliance dietaryguidelines occurs mainly by difficulties recreating habitsdue non-acceptance restrictions. Conclusion: dietaryrestrictions lead negative social creategaps knowledge about disease, consequent needfor new behavior. It work deeply thedietary guidelines adherence users health care services.
