摘要: Abstract The ultrafiltration (UF) membrane in bioreactor (MBR) technology is the most suitable a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). In MBR systems, bacteria consume organic waste for energy to survive. Hence, membranes should be non-toxic but still possess antifouling capability. this study, carbon nanotube (CNT)- and sulphonated CNT (SCNT)-blended polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) were fabricated with aim of conserving bacterial population. successful sulphonation CNTs was observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, diffraction transmission electron microscopy. porosity PVDF-CNT -SCNT 81 84%, respectively. mean pore size 50 60 nm, respectively, corresponding water flux experiment 360.43 680 L m−2 h−1. fouling recovery ratio (FRR) SCNTs 72.74 83.52%, addition, BSA (bovine serum albumin) rejection 90% PVDF-SCNT. (150 μg/mL) had significant antibacterial effect against Escherichia coli, Pantoea agglomerans, Pseudomonas graminis isolated from full scale 60% cell viability. On other hand, nontoxic (90%, p
