摘要: There are two current approaches to the clinical conceptualization of generalized epilepsies. The syndromic approach attempts subdivide patient population into relatively homogeneous groups, largely on basis and EEG criteria. In contrast, neurobiological aims formulate a unique profile for each by incorporating particulars onto background knowledge regarding etiologic factors important in epilepsy. value these is discussed with regard dual of, first, improving understanding epilepsy, second, providing precise diagnosis, an accurate prognosis, optimal treatment patient.
