Category Ratings and the Relational Character of Judgment

摘要: Abstract Category ratings express the relational character of judgment, communicating place each stimulus in a context related stimuli. Rating scales reflect two basic tendencies judgment: (1) categories divide subjective rang into equal subranges, and (2) same number contextual stimuli are repre-sented by category. The rating scale can be predicted from simple weighted average range frequence values, overall mean skewing values. However, even psychophysical experiments, may extend beyond end values series. Various rating-scale phenomena provide examples judgment.
