摘要: This paper has examined the development of yield in developing and developed countries eight most important agricultural crops over a period almost 40 years. Our results indicate that although growth been impressive, problems global distribution productivity persist give cause for concern. also there are significant differences both dynamics diffusion these gains to between require explanation. Evidence on convergence yields shows occurs all non-hybrid but does not occur with respect hybrids. We explore reasons this difference further by estimating coefficients innovations from frontier countries. conclude failure hybrid can be explained exceptionally low rate crop.
