摘要: Abstract Lithium/sulfur (Li/S) battery has a 3–5 fold higher theoretical energy density than state-of-art lithium-ion batteries, and research been ongoing for more three decades. However, the commercialization of Li/S still cannot be realized due to many problematic issues, including short cycle life, low cycling efficiency, poor safety high self-discharge rate. All these issues are related dissolution lithium polysulfide (PS), series sulfur reduction intermediates, in liquid electrolyte resulting parasitic reactions with anode components. On other hand, PS is essential performance cell. Without PS, cell operate progressively non-conductive nature elemental its products. In this review article, we start fundamental chemistry order discuss problems solutions battery.
