摘要: Advance inoculation of the tomato cv. Celebrity or pyrethrum clone 223 with host-incompatible Meloidogyne incognita M. javanica elicited induced resistance to host-compatible hapla in pot and field experiments. Induced increased length time between inoculations population density induction inoculum. Optimum interval before challenge inoculation, inoculum for inducing resistance, was 10 days, 5,000 infective nematodes per 500-cm³ pot. The suppressed increase by 84% on potted tomato, 72% pyrethrum, 55% field-grown seedlings, relative unprotected treatments. Pyrethrum seedlings inoculated days infection were not stunted, whereas those that did receive advance stunted 33% pots 36% plots. results indicated plants incompatible mildly virulent nematode species normally compatible response may have potential as a biological control method plant nematodes.
