摘要: The antimicrobial activity of ethanol, petroleum ether, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, methanol and aqueous whole plant extracts Aerva tomentosa (Amaranthaceae) were tested against nine human pathogens such as Bacillus subtilis, Enterobactor aerogenes, Escherichia coli Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacterias Aspergillus flavus, niger, Candida albicans, Trichophyton rubrum Penicillium crysogenum fungus by using agar well diffusion method. Among the six cold extract showed highest range all pathogens. E. coli, A. C. T. P. found to be susceptible forming zone inhibition diameter 12-20 mm at concentration 4 mg/ml, suggesting that was strongly inhibitory towards these organisms. Appreciable niger exhibited both acetate (IZ 20.00±0.00 and17.30±0.33 mm, respectively). These results indicate possessed potential Antibacterial Antifungal activities.
