摘要: A numerical analysis has been performed to examine and assess the flow performance characteristics of solar updraft tower (SUT) power plant. realistic domain (geometry mesh) model was generated simulations were run with help ANSYS FLUENT 16.0 CFD package. turbulent, realizable (k–e) discrete ordinates radiation techniques taken into consideration solve governing equation. The maximum air velocity 3.27 m s−1 noticed at 200 mm above chimney base (CB). mean CB 1.8 m s−1. highest temperature absorber plate 323 K, it centre plate. average inside setup 306.7 K. from plant, efficiency overall SUT evaluated be 0.38 W, 0.018% 0.005%, respectively. 24% increase 70% output when flux increased 650 1150 W m−2. Exergy performed. results compared existing studies found in good agreement.
