Household solid waste : Traits and disposal site selection

摘要: Practically every urban area in the world, regardless of size, development, and economic status, is faced with problem generated daily solid waste its disposal. This paper reports on findings a research project aimed at quantification household selection sites for transfer stations Fairbanks North Star Borough (Borough), Alaska. The quantity was determined via mail questionnaire survey random sample 2,000 households residing Borough. three station were chosen from list five (as proposed by Borough), based household's stated preference. A comparison between reported that collected Borough's contractors pointed to surprisingly accurate result.
