摘要: BACKGROUND: Total thyroidectomy has been accepted as current surgical therapy for benign and malignant thyroidal disorders but extensive resection might increase the risk of postoperative complications. Intensive effort should be spent to prevent recurrent laryngeal nerve injury hypoparathyroidism, because they can avoided with appropriate technique during total thyroidectomy. The authors proposed that use a loupe operative field magnification could improve outcome regard identification both nerves parathyroids. METHODS: Patients were subjected in group A without B. status vocal cords all patients was checked postoperatively by laryngoscope. Serum calcium concentration immediately follow-up checked. RESULTS: Loupe helps external branch superior parathyroid preservation. CONCLUSIONS: is feasible, improves outcome, done experienced surgeon.
