摘要: Abstract We report the synthesis and magnetocaloric properties of ternary intermetallic compound ZnMnSb, which crystallizes in tetragonal crystal structure with space group P4/nmm. It undergoes a second order phase transition from ferromagnetic to paramagnetic at Curie temperature (Tc) 302 293 K for arc melted rapid thermal quenched ZnMnSb samples respectively under an applied field 500 Oe. The maximum change isothermal magnetic entropy (−ΔSM) typical values 1.3 0.8 J/kg K are found Tc 20 kOe. relative cooling power (RCP) calculated vs. T distribution plots range 43–48 J/kg. critical behavior has been explained using Arrott plots, dependence magnetization magnetization. obtained exponents δ β 3.385 0.154 melted; 2.850 0.102 indicating that there exists long interaction below Tc. moderate −ΔSM low along broad operating range, close room cost make it promising candidate applications.
