Diagnosis and treatment of pyonephrosis.

摘要: This article examines current radiologic imaging and interventional techniques used in the diagnosis initial treatment of pyonephrosis. Included is a review all pyonephrotic series published English literature since 1970. Although authors found that two thirds kidneys are still removed at surgery, there an increasing emphasis on preservation renal function. Percutaneous nephrostomy provides excellent tool for drainage pus determination residual function prior to definitive surgery.
