摘要: PURPOSE To examine the microstructure of cornea after excimer and femtosecond laser-assisted penetrating keratoplasty (ELAK FLAK) in eyes with Fuchs' dystrophy keratoconus. METHODS Fifty-seven patients were divided into four groups according to corneal disease surgical technique: ELAK (n = 9; mean age: 70.4 ± 10.6 years); FLAK 13; 64.3 11.2 keratoconus 47.4 13.9 43.5 13.8 years). The control group comprised individuals without ocular 17; 39.9 17.3 In vivo investigation graft graft-host junction zone was performed confocal microscopy. RESULTS All grafts transparent no rejection reaction could be observed during follow-up period. Confocal microscopy revealed difference basal epithelial cell density compared controls. Anterior keratocyte lower than (818 131 cells/mm(2)) all treatment (596 174, 586 113, 529 75, 552 91 cells/mm(2)). Langerhans cells barely seen; there cutting edge configuration wound integrity. CONCLUSIONS provided evidence that good alignment created both techniques. laser not inferior performing cuts. low well-controlled cellular immunological response sustained integrity groups.
