摘要: This study examined changes in the acoustic and temporal structure of ultrasonic vocalizations as a function age correlated with vocal fold microstructure. Ultrasonic were recorded three groups male rats: aged (24-26 months), middle-aged (17-18 young (4-5 months). Acoustic structural tissue evident by 18 months age. Histological analyses revealed decreased density elastin hyaluronic acid increased collagen compared to rats. Laryngeal microstructure some features. These results show that Long Evans rats experience middle age, these correlate deterioration laryngeal can be used model system for age-related degeneration function.
