摘要: A structural characterization of the products formed in dissociative electron ionization adamantane (C10H16) is presented. Molecular structures product ions are suggested based on multiple‐photon dissociation spectroscopy using Free Electron Laser for Infrared eXperiments (FELIX) combination with quantum‐chemical calculations. Product individually isolated an ion trap tandem mass spectrometer and their action IR spectra recorded. Atomic hydrogen loss from yields 1‐adamantyl isomer. The spectrum C8H11+ best reproduced by computed 2‐ 4‐protonated meta‐xylene ortho‐ para‐protonated ethylbenzenes. at m/z 93 suggests that it composed a mixture ortho‐protonated toluene, toluene 1,2‐dihydrotropylium, while 79 consistent benzenium ion. This study thus efficiently converted into aromatic species astrophysical implications interstellar medium highlighted.
