摘要: OBJECTIVE The discovery of two main coreceptors for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5), and C-X-C 4 has led to a better understanding the interaction between HIV envelope host cells, development new therapeutic approaches. purpose this study was estimate prevalence CCR5 tropism among HIV-1-infected Koreans identify predictors tropism. METHODS We enrolled 250 subjects from four medical centers three different cities in South Korea April 2013 May 2014. Genotypic assay identifying coreceptor HIV-1 performed with RNA or DNA. Nested polymerase chain reaction population-based sequencing V3 region (HXB2 position 6225-7758) were proviral Proviral DNA used if viral load subject below 2000 copies/mL. determined by web-based bioinformatics tool (http://coreceptor.bioinf.mpi-inf.mpg.de/). RESULTS Among individuals enrolled, only 143 could be analyzed genotypic 69.2% (N = 99). not any significant clinical epidemiological subjects. CONCLUSIONS Korean 69.2%. Since we cannot predict factors, should before treatment antagonist.
