摘要: This chapter presents a novel Harmony Search (HS) algorithm used to solve security constrained optimal power flow (OPF) with various generator fuel cost characteristics. HS is recently developed derivative-free, meta-heuristic optimization algorithm, which draws inspiration from the musical process of searching for perfect state harmony. analyses evolution population-variance over successive generations in and thereby some important attention regarding explorative HS. methodology modified population variance harmony search (PVHS) easily takes care solving problem even non-smooth piecewise functions. PVHS was tested on IEEE30 bus system three different types characteristics compared other reported results.
