摘要: The prevalence of Cryptosporidium, Giardia and Eimeria, in healthy, asymptomatic, post-weaned mature cattle was investigated on three Maryland farms. One farm, a dairy research facility, had 150 multiparous Holstein milking cows; 24 were examined Cryptosporidium andersoni detected (12.5%) but neither nor Eimeria detected. second commercial dairy, 57 cows an equal number heifers. Of 19 examined, C. parvum, duodenalis, bovis and/or E. ellipsoidalis two (10.5%), (10.5%) one (5.26%) cow, respectively. 23 heifers Giardia, ellipsoidalis, (8.7%), four (17.4%), five (21.7%), heifers, third beef breeding genetics 180 7- to 9-month old purebred black Angus. 118 for parvum 34 (28.8%) 44 (37.3%) positive, respectively, 97 32 (33.0%) positive. These findings, based method with minimum detection level 100 oocysts parvum/g feces, which underestimates the infected cattle, clearly demonstrate presence low level, asymptomatic infections adult United States indicate potential role such as reservoirs infectious parasites.
