摘要: The Groundhog skarn in the Central Mining District, New Mexico, is zoned along its >2km length adjacent to a dike swarm which trends NE toward Santa Rita porphyry Cu deposit. Isotopes and trace elements whole rocks mineral separates from carbonate allow study of source metals systematics element behavior system. (1) /sup 87/Sr//sup 86/Sr ratios are uniform (.7083 +/- 1) host, but they range up .714 hydrothermal calcite pyx skarn, values distinct both (.706) carbonate. (2) delta/sup 18/O (SMOW) ranges (+6.3 -+ 23) correlated positively with 13/C (-5.6-+2.4) negatively 86/Sr. Several also correlate 18/O. (3) Pb isotopes galenas lie on regression line for southwestern Mexico Proterozoic crust. PbS closest has isotope identical pit. (4) Most REE not gar or pyx. abundances 20X chondrites. All pyxmore » have deep negative Ce very Eu anomalies. Sr show that neither magma nor sole Sr. consistent source. anomaly suggests seawater REE. data many derived porphyry, suggest different may be rocks.« less
