摘要: The accurate measurement of the gaseous sulfuric acid concentration is crucial within many fields atmospheric science. Instruments utilizing chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS) measuring H(2)SO(4), therefore, require a careful calibration. We have set up calibration source that can provide stable and adjustable H(2)SO(4). system initiates production through oxidation SO(2) by OH. hydroxyl radical produced UV photolysis water vapor. A numerical model calculates H(2)SO(4) provided at outlet source. From comparison this signals measured CIMS, factor derived. This evaluated to be 1.1 × 10(10) cm(-3), which in good agreement with values found literature for other CIMS instruments described detail results are discussed. Because setup external instrument, it offers possibility future intercomparison measurements providing defined concentrations acid.
