摘要: Psycholinguistic and cognitive psychology studies involving self-paced reading (SPR) paradigm are usually carried out in conventional laboratory settings. This is mainly due to the need for accurate response time measurements such experiments. project explores potentials limitations of web-based SPR The existing timing component WebExp2, an experiment generator, was evaluated a published lab-based replicated conducted over Internet using WebExp2. main findings show that WebExp2’s current capable measuring accurately up 50 ms. Results from webbased produced near-perfect replication general pattern found original study albeit having slower times. These suggest World Wide Web may be viable alternative researches conducting
