摘要: Abstract Background Hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) has been shown to be beneficial in the management of unresectable colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). This systematic review evaluates potential role HAIC as a neoadjuvant downstaging therapy, prior hepatic resection with curative intent for initially CRLM. Methods A literature search was conducted using Pubmed, EMBASE and Medline databases from January 2000 November 2013. Studies adopting bridging therapy CRLM were included. Results Eleven studies (n = 1514) response rate 50% achieved conversion surgery 18% patients. The median overall 5-year survival patients who underwent hepatectomy 53 months 49% compared 16 3% did not undergo surgery. Meta-analysis demonstrated strong association between improved (RR 0.56, 95% CI = 0.48–0.65, Z = 7.26, p Conclusion For presenting CRLM, conjunction current systemic may allow some potentially provide long-term survival.
