Tailoring Surface Properties of Polymeric Separators for Lithium-Ion Batteries by 13.56 MHz Radio-Frequency Plasma Glow Discharge

摘要: The hydrophilic surface modification of the polymeric separator is achieved by low-pressure 13.56 MHz radio-frequency Ar and He gas plasma treatments. changes in hydrophilicity free energy were examined static contact angle analysis. water plasma-modified particularly decreased with increase treatment time. An obvious separators owing to crosslinking activated species inert gases effect monatomic-gas-plasma treatments was also observed. Optical emission spectroscopy carried out analyze chemical generated after variations morphology structure confirmed scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron (XPS) measurements. XPS analysis showed significantly higher concentrations oxygen functional groups for monatomic-gas-plasma-modified surfaces than unmodified surface. experimental results show important role interaction between plasmas surface, which can be controlled tailor separator.
