摘要: Abstract Luminescent emission from artworks is usually employed by conservators and restorers as a visual quick method for assessing the presence of protective varnishes restoration materials, well to evaluate painting conservation status. Besides these mere qualitative observations, analysis both spectral temporal features optical can provide useful information about pictorial materials artists. In this work we propose Multi-spectral Time-gated Photoluminescence Imaging differentiate between luminescent pigments, on basis their different spectra lifetimes. We present application approach two modern paintings Fondazione Maimeri Private Collection, which differently probe fast-living surface varnish lake pigment long-living trap state emissions semiconductor pigments. With aid time gated detection record otherwise covered intense fluorescence organic compound. The complemented with Macro-XRF analysis, confirm nature identified inorganic zinc white cadmium yellow. protocol represents rapid, non-invasive reliable way identification pigments spatial distribution.
