摘要: We have proposed a novel model-based compression technique for nonstationary landmark shape data extracted from video sequences. The main goal is to develop the compact storage of data. use activity (NSSA) model encoded by applying differential pulse code modulation (DPCM) on velocity coefficients under NSSA model. studied system performance in terms compressibility-distortion trade off. based has been compared with two other methods existing modeling techniques namely, stationary (SSA) and active (ASM). tested our multiple sequences CMU mocap database. It was found that outperforms both SSA ASM compressibility given distortion tolerance. Thus could be very useful applications like large volumes biomedical landmarks'
