Power quality improvement in grid connected system using four leg VSI

摘要: This paper suggests a new method that consists of four leg inverter is capable simultaneously compensating problems like power factor, current imbalance and harmonics, also injecting the energy generated by renewable sources. The fourth used to compensate neutral load. grid interfacing can thus be utilized as: 1) converter inject from RES grid, 2) shunt APF unbalance, load harmonics reactive demand. actively controlled in such way it draws/supplies fundamental active from/to grid. All these functions may accomplished either individually or simultaneously. control concept demonstrated with extensive MATLAB/Simulink simulation studies.
