摘要: In Deutschland entfallen 2–3 % aller Malignome auf Krebserkrankungen mit unbekanntem Primarius („cancer of unknown primary“, CUP). Diese heterogene und aggressive Gruppe von Tumoren, fur die zum Zeitpunkt der Diagnose trotz klinischer, laborchemischer, radiologischer pathologischer Untersuchungen kein eindeutiger identifiziert werden kann, metastasiert sehr fruh stellt eine grose klinische Herausforderung dar. Der vorliegende Artikel zeigt Moglichkeiten gewebebasierter histomorphologischer, immunhistochemischer molekularer Klassifizierungsalgorithmen diese Neoplasien fasst Rolle, Pathologie im Rahmen des interdisziplinaren Diagnostik- Behandlungsansatzes CUP zukommt, zusammen.
