摘要: This study tracks local vegetation change in West Cornwall (South England) within regional context, using historic herbarium (pre-1900) and recent records (post-1900). The focus centres on species lost from the region over past century. For this we used a collection of published 1909 (Davey's "Flora Cornwall") contemporary "New Atlas British Irish Flora" downloaded National Biodiversity Network (NBN), online database. Both data sets were spatially analysed ArcGIS order to detect scale loss. Loss detected for two species, Mountain Melick (. Melica nutans) Field Eryngo Eryngium campestare). These key amplify importance research conservation protect ecosystems functioning, genetic diversity, ecosystem services identity.
