摘要: The purine metabolism of several genera parasitic protozoa, is interest partly due to their sensitivity analogues, and differences in the enzymes compared mammalian systems [l-6]. Trichomonas vaginalis, causative agent trichomonal vaginitis, a mild, but very common, sexually-transmitted disease, has not been studied this respect; there general lack knowledge on biosynthetic ability organism. We report here washed-cell suspensions T. vaginalis salvage bases, adenine guanine, nucleosides, absence from organism synthesise purines de novo interconvert nucleotides. Examination possible suggests that nucleoside phosphorylase kinase activities are responsible for conversion bases nucleosides monophosphates; phosphoribosyltransferases either absent or present at only low levels.
