摘要: Game meat from animals killed by lead ammunition may expose consumers to lead. We assessed the risk related intake consumption of white-tailed deer and moose documented perception hunters butchers regarding this potential contamination. Information on cervid were collected using a mailed self-administrated questionnaire which was addressed random sample Quebec hunters. In parallel, 72 samples (n = 35) 37) meats voluntary analysed for content inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. A assessment people consuming shot game performed Monte Carlo simulations. Mean levels in 0.28 0.17 mg kg(-1) respectively. Risk based declared revealed that 1.7% surveyed would exceed dose associated with 1 mmHg increase systolic blood pressure (SBP). For once, twice or three times week, simulations predicted 0.5%, 0.9% 1.5% adults be exposed SBP, whereas 0.9%, 1.9% 3.3% children point intelligence quotient (IQ) decrease, proportions 1.6%, 2.9% 4% 2.9%, 5.8% 7.7% children, The cervids exposure its health risks. It important inform population, particularly hunters, about promote use lead-free ammunition.
